Walking with God

Fr Jerome Bertram

Walking with God

Twenty five years ago Jerome Bertram made the pilgrimage on foot to Santiago de Compostella. He uses this experience as a basis for exploring the spiritual pilgrimage each one of us makes. For a Christian it is to follow the way of Christ and the end of the journey is the triumph over death and the glory of God’s Kingdom. He deals in detail and in a good-humoured way with the pains and problems of such a long journey and compares these tribulations with those that we suffer throughout our lives. On each stage of the way he gives spiritual directions and prayers to make our own pilgrimage more meaningful. Father Bertram writes as a Catholic but all who value the spiritual life will find this book worth reading.
